Bloop! Fishing Adventure is provided under the trading name Plinkwick Studios by an independent game developer in California, United States. Plinkwick Studios is a trading name, not a separate incorporated company. "We", "us", and "our" refer to the developer operating the game under that name. For support, privacy questions, or requests about your information, email [email protected]. This policy covers the game and support requests about it.
Information we handle
Progress and settings. Your device stores catches, inventory, currency, upgrades, cosmetics, purchase entitlements, achievements, play statistics, settings, and privacy choices. When online services are available, the game uploads a copy to Unity Cloud Save. That copy includes gameplay and ad-history statistics even if you do not join the Fish Research Program. Cloud saving and optional research are separate uses.
Identifiers. Unity Gaming Services Authentication creates an anonymous online account and session credential. "Anonymous" means you need not supply a login name or email; your account still has an identifier associated with activity. The game also creates a separate local save identifier. The online account relies on the installation's saved credentials. Cloud saving does not guarantee recovery after a reinstall, loss of credentials, or a move to another device.
Age category. The age question converts your answer into an under-18 or 18-and-over category. The game does not retain your exact age or date of birth. This category and research choices are part of the local and cloud save.
Country. The game reads the country code in your device's region settings for regional pearl-box restrictions and, unless hidden, your public profile and country leaderboard. In Settings you can choose a board country or turn off SHOW MY COUNTRY. This does not change the region used for purchase restrictions. The game does not obtain GPS location. Online and ad providers may separately infer approximate location from your IP address.
Public game information. Online features can display your chosen name and friend tag, avatar and equipment, Bloop skin, tank fish, level, prestige rank, streak, Fishdex completion, best fish, Derby scores, and country if enabled. A world record can show your name. Avoid putting real names or contact details in your display name. The current game has no player chat.
Friends and reports. Services handle requests, relationships, blocks, gifts, and reports, including reporting and reported account identifiers and the selected reason. We use reports for moderation and fraud investigation. Reports are not displayed publicly in your profile.
Purchases. Google Play handles Android payments. The game and Unity In-App Purchasing process product identifiers, order information, purchase status, and entitlements to deliver and restore eligible purchases. We do not receive payment card details. Unity also discloses technical identifiers, approximate location, diagnostics, performance data, and temporary processing of email addresses. SDK handling of a store email is separate from emailing us directly. Unity IAP data disclosure
Ads and technical information. Unity LevelPlay and included advertising SDKs may process advertising or device identifiers, IP-derived approximate location, device details, diagnostics, and ad views or interactions for advertising, measurement, and fraud prevention. SDK processing can start at initialization, before you choose to watch a rewarded video. It is separate from the research opt-in. The implementation uses ironSource Ads and includes a Unity Ads adapter; networks actually serving ads depend on the release configuration. ironSource data disclosure
Support. Emailing us provides your address, message, and details or attachments you send. Do not send passwords, payment card details, or authentication tokens. We may ask for limited information to verify an account request.
The game's own code does not request contacts, camera, microphone, or precise-location access. Third-party processing is described separately above.
Purposes
We use information to run the game, synchronize progress, deliver purchases, provide friends and competition, apply restrictions, investigate misconduct, answer requests, and meet legal duties.
Ordinary fishing difficulty and ad timing also adjust using device region, device model, purchase status, ad-watch history, and gameplay history. For adults without Remove Ads or Fish Club, some fights can become harder based on an available ad's value; rewarded retries can make them easier. This does not apply to Daily Derby difficulty. Device model is read during play; ad and gameplay history stored in the save is also cloud-saved. This use is independent of research participation.
Fish Research Program
Joining is optional, intended for adults, and offers a one-time pearl reward. You can decline or leave in Settings and keep the reward. The current research implementation uploads no research events to an analytics provider; when enabled it only logs event names in the Unity editor. Your participation choice is still recorded in your save.
Leaving does not disable cloud saves, purchase processing, ad SDK processing, or ordinary progress and ad-history storage. Before introducing research uploads we will identify the data, purposes, recipients, retention, and choices, and obtain consent where required. No survey service is integrated into the current game.
Advertising choices
Rewarded videos require a tap; full-screen ads can appear at breaks. Remove Ads and active Fish Club memberships remove full-screen ads, while optional rewarded videos remain available. Purchasing them does not itself erase advertising data.
Providers may use information for personalized ads where permitted. The current implementation has no in-game advertising consent or sale/sharing opt-out screen. Device and provider privacy controls, including Android's advertising ID controls, may limit advertising uses. Resetting an ID does not necessarily delete existing data or substitute for a legal opt-out request.
Unity's Game Player and App User Privacy Policy explains its privacy choices and request routes. Contact us for rights concerning data we control.
Recipients and international processing
Unity provides authentication, cloud storage, Cloud Code, friends, leaderboards, moderation, purchasing software, and advertising. Google provides distribution and billing. Advertising recipients include ironSource and, where enabled, Unity Ads. Their independent processing is subject to their applicable notices. Other players receive the public information above.
Necessary information may be disclosed to service providers, to comply with valid legal requests, to protect users and services, or in a business transfer with applicable safeguards and notice. We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising disclosures may count as "sale" or "sharing" under some laws even without a monetary sale.
Providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, applicable contractual or other lawful transfer safeguards must be used. Contact us for details of safeguards applying to your data.
Retention and deletion
Local progress remains until cleared, uninstalled, or reset through completed in-app deletion, subject to device backup behavior. Cloud progress and profiles remain while the account is active and are subject to deletion requests.
Daily Derby displays change at 00:00 UTC. Display changes do not guarantee deletion of underlying records or archives; country-board documents can remain stored after they stop appearing. World records remain while current unless removed. Reports and service logs are retained for as long as needed to investigate misconduct, protect the service, handle disputes, or meet legal duties. Information processed independently by providers follows their retention notices.
Settings > DELETE ACCOUNT starts removal of the online account, cloud data, profile, and associated records, then resets local progress on completion. It needs a connection and can fail. You can also request deletion through our account deletion page. If you cannot use the game, email our contact above with the subject "Bloop account deletion". Include your friend tag or account details if available. We will verify the request without asking for authentication tokens and respond within applicable legal deadlines. An identifier alone does not prove ownership.
Uninstalling does not delete the online account. Remote deletion does not erase device files or backups. Store purchase records and independently processed ad data follow provider notices and request routes. Lawful exceptions may require limited retention; we will explain applicable exceptions when handling requests. Account deletion does not cancel Google Play subscriptions; cancel through Google Play separately.
Children and teenagers
The game is intended for ages 13 and over and is not offered as a service for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 supplied information, contact us to investigate and arrange deletion or other legally required measures.
Saved under-18 profiles cannot buy pearl tackle boxes or join research. These restrictions are separate from advertising, account creation, and local children's privacy requirements. A parent's acceptance of the Terms is not consent to advertising or optional processing.
Rights and legal grounds
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction or objection, withdraw optional consent, or opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. Email us. We may verify requests, explain lawful exceptions, and respond within applicable deadlines. You may complain to your local data protection authority and use an applicable appeal procedure. Exercising rights does not cause unlawful discrimination.
Where EEA or UK law applies, necessary service and purchase processing relies on providing the service, security and moderation on legitimate interests where appropriate, legally required records on legal obligations, and optional research or advertising on consent where required. These grounds do not replace consent required for device access or children's information. Withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully performed before withdrawal.
Security and changes
We use access controls and encrypted connections for supported online services. No system guarantees absolute security. We will update this policy as practices change, give notice of material changes where required, and obtain new consent before new optional uses where required.
